The interior features 4 bedrooms, all with ensuite bath and either King or Queen tempurpedic or Sleep Number beds. The bedrooms have adjoining patios; two of the ensuite baths have Jacuzzi Tubs, and Master has a Steam shower. The negative edge pool is stunning and can be heated during the winter months at guests expense. Please be aware that our home is NOT suitable for families with toddlers, unsupervised young children or children who are non-swimmers. High above Tucson, our gated home is nestled at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, in a gated country club community. We are surrounded by the natural beauty of lush desert, stately mesquite trees and abundant, majestic, towering saguaro cactus. Golf, tennis, fitness and dining are within walking distance! Tucson boasts a delightfully high desert climate with summers of dry heat, comfortable winter days and year 'round cool evenings. Tucson is a growing metropolis of one million people, though it feels much smaller. The citys geography is a postcard image of cactus forests, rolling hills, and rocky mountains. National and State parks and forests ring the city. Tucson lies in the borderland, a region that blends the cultures of the United States and Mexico, and has a long history of settlement by ancient Native American peoples, Spanish explorers, and Anglo frontiersmen. The weather is mild nearly all the time. Though our summers can be quite hot, the air is dry and evening temperatures are always pleasant. We welcome afternoon showers in late July through August, which can result in some of the most spectacular lightening displays viewed from our back porch. Don't miss the sunset photos...our sunsets are a display of beauty! There are limitless ways to enjoy your stay. You are minutes away from upscale shopping, dining, world famous attractions: the Sonoran Desert Museum (top 10 museums in the country as rated by Trip Advisor), Canyon Ranch and Miraval-Life in Balance Resort & Spa, San Xavier Mission, Old Tucson Western Movie Studios, Davis-Monthan "boneyard" with over 250 WW-II aircraft, or the renowned International Gem & Mineral Show (February) - which is incredible! Tucson is a destination for golfers, hikers and cyclists: take your best shot on a challenging desert resort golf course, or enjoy a more traditional links-style course. Hike one of Tucsons many beautiful mountain trails, including Finger Rock Trail, and the beautiful Sabino Canyon - both 10 minutes away. Bird-watching is world renowned. The "Old Pueblo" is known as biker-friendly (both road & mountain biking) and hosts several annual bicycle tours. Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona are less than a 2-hour drive from Tucson. Sedona, Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, Monument Valley and of course, the GRAND CANYON, are all easily accessible by car. It would be easy for you to combine your stay with time in Southern California or other neighboring states. A car is necessary to thoroughly enjoy all that Tucson has to offer.
