The road to the villa (about 2K) is a four-wheel drive accessible road only but always passable and not dangerous. It comes off of the main road, the Costanera, which runs right along the coastline in front of us. The nearest beach with easy access and parking is only about 15 minutes by car. It is not practical to think about walking because the hike back up the mountain is quite challenging. Within a half-hour of the villa, there are numerous distinctive and beautiful beaches depending on whether you want tranquility, services nearby or waves for surfing. The advantage to being here in the mountains is that we have cool breezes and practically no mosquitos or other biting insects. We are located in a neighborhood but there are a minimum number of houses here so there is a lot of privacy. We have a beautiful, lush garden which also contributes to the privacy here.
