It is a very special community in all regards. Lovingly restored and furnished, the core of this home is medieval, like all of the houses within the old rampart walls. It has undergone numerous changes over the centuries and now combines features from various periods. The last major restoration took place around 1900 and it modernized much of the house in a way that left it more comfortable with decidedly non-medieval features such as large windows and closets. There are three bedrooms which each have a queen bed and one bedroom with two twin beds. A hundred years later, the current owners finished the job by adding modern heating, plumbing, wifi internet access, installing numerous bathrooms, washer, dryer, dishwasher and a fully equipped kitchen while taking great care to highlight the homes older features, such as the medieval arch, the old well, the barrel vaulted chapel, and more. The internal courtyard offers a lovely space for meals or an afternoon siesta, with a beautiful wisteria and a nook which is perfect for reading.
